Value Chain & Customer Impact

All suppliers are assessed using an ESG risk classification that considers factors such as supply chain complexity, country of origin, product impact and strategic importance. Based on this classification, AVEX applies proportionate verification measures, ranging from confirmation of compliance to additional self-assessments and documentation. Social and sustainability criteria are therefore an integral part of supplier selection, onboarding and periodic reassessment.

All newly contracted suppliers during the reporting period were screened against social criteria before engagement as part of AVEX’s risk-based due diligence approach. Through this approach, 100% of the supplier portfolio has been screened against social criteria.

Enhanced due diligence and active supplier engagement are carried out where the risk profile requires it. Where concerns or non-compliance are identified, corrective measures are required and, where necessary, supplier relationships are reconsidered. This keeps AVEX on track with SDG 8.7 and helps safeguard social responsibility throughout the value chain.

AVEX is a member of the GPA, an international network of audiovisual and unified communications integrators. Within this network, AVEX works closely with international partners to share knowledge, advance the industry and improve sustainability throughout the AV value chain.

AVEX serves as GPA’s Regional Business Unit (RBU) for the Netherlands, Belgium, Luxembourg and the United Kingdom and is represented on the GPA Sustainability Committee.

Within GPA, collaboration focuses on areas including circular procurement, CO₂ reduction, sustainable design principles and the development of international standards for responsible AV projects. Through active participation in this network, AVEX contributes to accelerating sustainable innovation across the industry and helps ensure that international sustainability commitments are consistently translated into local practice, in line with our ESG strategy and evolving CSRD approach.

During the reporting period, several international GPA projects were delivered with sustainability at their core, including the Global AV Sustainability Challenge, initiatives focused on sustainable AV design principles and large-scale real estate projects led by GPA partners, including projects in Singapore.

These projects demonstrate the value of global collaboration around shared sustainability objectives. During Integrated Systems Europe 2026, AVEX also joined GPA partners in delivering several keynotes on sustainability within the AV industry, with a particular focus on circular value chains and international standardisation.

In 2025, we began developing this new objective. The first concrete step was the development of BRIX zero: a circular AV solution in which AVEX retains ownership of the equipment throughout its entire lifecycle.

This Product-as-a-Service concept combines modular design, reuse and digital monitoring through the independent GSES platform, structurally embedding sustainability, transparency and value chain responsibility. BRIX zero therefore represents a fundamentally different approach to AV technology.

We also continued the development of Pulse Monitoring Services. This technology enables AVEX to proactively monitor customers’ AV and IT infrastructure. Connected devices are monitored in real time through a central dashboard, allowing issues to be identified and resolved more quickly. Further development of Pulse focuses on broader compatibility across different ecosystems and improved configuration and release management.

To accelerate future technological development, the AVEX Innovation Lab opened in 2025. The lab serves as a testing and development environment for new technologies and provides the foundation for a structured innovation process.

During the year, the focus was on establishing processes and building an ecosystem for co-creation with customers and partners. This has created a solid foundation for achieving our innovation objectives in the years ahead.
